What are the important criteria for choosing your skis?
To choose your skis well, several criteria must be taken into account and will allow you to have a model that is the right size, suitable for your level and practice:
Your ski level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced, to have skis that are either forgiving, more suited for improvement, or designed for performance and speed.
Your use: alpine skis for the slopes, 'all-mountain' skis for maximum versatility, freeride skis for off-piste, freestyle skis for snowparks, or touring skis to both climb and descend.
Your height: your skis should reach between your chin and your forehead. If you are a beginner, prefer short skis and choose a model 10 to 15 cm shorter than your height.
Your weight: short skis are more suitable for light skiers, while long skis are better suited for heavier skiers.
Good to know: knowing your weight is also essential for properly adjusting your ski bindings. As for your height, it allows us to provide you with suitable poles (included with ski rental).
